2023: Ogun PDP goes spiritual as religious leaders pray for Ladi Adebutu inside rain

Religious leaders consisting of Muslim and Christian clerics on Tuesday converged at the PDP Secretariat, along Oke-Mosan Road, Abeokuta, to offer special prayers for the gubernatorial and other candidates of the party ahead of the 2023 general elections. 

Defying the rain, the prayers which had in attendance members of the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) Ogun State chapter and Islamic group saw, Apostle Kolajo of KOWEM Obantoko, Abeokuta, and the Alawiye Musulumi of Egbaland, Alhaji Abdulazeez Balogun Baglo leading various prayer sessions respectively on behalf of the religious bodies

Alhaji Balogun Baglo led the Islamic prayer session with recitations from the Holy Quran. 

The clerics implored the Almighty God to grant the PDP candidates safety and victory as well as protect their followers as the party commences her campaigns across the state towards the 2023 general elections. 

Some of the leaders of the party at the prayer session included the state Chairman, Alhaji Sikirulah Ogundele, the Balogun Itoku and Director-General of the Ladi Adebutu/Triple A Campaign Council, Chief Semiu Sodipo; Dr. Sunday Solarin, Hon. Akinbamiloye, Alhaji Amodemaja, Mrs Wuraola Arojo, Alhaja Mujidat Ogunnaike, Otunba Odutola, Otunba Adenaike among others. 

While delivering his vote of thanks, governorship candidate of the party, Oladipupo Adebutu gave glory to God for the journey so far and noted that he would have opted out of the race if it were for selfish gains but the need to liberate the people of Ogun State and the desire to impact humanity has kept him in the race.

He assured the people of the state he won’t disappoint them as succour is at hand.
