Adeleke assures new Osun NSCDC boss of support to fight crime

….as new commandant pledges to work in tandem with Corps mandates

Osun State Governor, Ademola Adeleke has assured the new Commandant of Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps [NSCDC] in the State, Dr Akintayo Adaralewa, of his support to succeed in fighting crimes in the state.

Adeleke, in a statement by the command’s spokesperson, ASC Adeleke Kehinde spoke on Tuesday while receiving the new NSCDC commandant during a courtesy visit.

He said his administration would continue to provide every necessary support to the command so as to improve security of lives and property in the state.

While expressing confidence in the ability of the new Commandant and the Corps at large, the Governor charged the new NSCDC helmsman to work in synergy with other sister agencies, saying crime prevention is a joint effort of all security agencies.

Adeleke who also commended the NSCDC personnel for being well dressed always also lauded them for being professional while discharging their duties.

Speaking earlier, the newly deployed Commandant, Adaralewa explained that the courtesy visit was mainly to familiarize himself with the Governor and to seek the support of the State Government to succeed in the task ahead.

He noted that Osun state is relatively peaceful, as it is one of the safest states in the country.

The NSCDC boss vowed to synergize with other security agencies to strengthen security architecture in the State and place it in a better light.

He also promised to deal decisively with illegal miners, while promising to work assiduously in order to put an end to incessant farmers and herders’ crisis in the state.

Adaralewa also called on members of the public to support NSCDC in the fight against criminal activities by providing necessary and useful information that could nip crimes in the bud.
