AFCON Final: Enoh advocates prayers for Super Eagles

The Honourable Minister for Sports Development, Senator John Enoh has advocated prayers for the Nigeria National Team, Super Eagles at the AFCON final match between Nigeria and Côte d’Ivoire coming up on Sunday.

The Minister stated this while receiving the President of the Nigerian Institute of Building and his entourage in his office at the Moshood Abiola International Stadium, Abuja recently.

The Minister noted that it is just a few hours to the final match between the country and Côte d’Ivoire, and so employs everyone to pray for the Super Eagles especially , that winning the match will have a lot of positive impact on the nation.

Owan expresses his hope that the achievements of our young men in Côte d’Ivoire so far would provide the needed impetus for the government to pay more attention to Sports Development for the benefit of our teeming sports men and women in the nation ,which is in line with the Renewed Hope Agenda of Mr. President.

Senator Enoh encouraged the institute to be committed in monitoring building constructions going on the the country to avoid incessant building collapses being recorded around the country.

He pointed out the need for the institute to have a data base for  fellow members so that issues of critical importance can be discussed.

Earlier in his address, the President of the Nigerian Institute of Buildings, BLDR. Sir Alderton  Ewa Ewa, appreciated the Minister for his appearance at the Investiture Ceremony and for being decorated as an Honorary Fellow of the Institute (Hon. FNIOB). And that, his presence at the event elevated the ceremony’s prestige, and it demonstrated government support for the building industry.

He stated that the Institute wishes to collaborate with the Ministry in maintenance of Sports facilities across the Nation and requested for the Ministry’s support in their construction of the Institute Skills Development Centre at Lugbe, Abuja which he said is still at the foundation level.

He also congratulated the Minister on the performances of the Super Eagles at the AFCON game.
