Aiyedatiwa leads Ajayi, others in results announced so far
With the results of 15 Local Government Areas now announced by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), Lucky Aiyedatiwa of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has polled 301,113 votes against Agboola Ajayi of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), who has garnered 97,051 votes so far.
Aiyedatiwa is currently leading with a margin of 204,062 votes.
With just three local governments away from the final declaration, INEC has adjourned the collation exercise till noon, Sunday 17th November.
The Presiding Officer, who is the Vice Chancellor of the Federal University of Lokoja, Prof Olayemi Akinwunmi, explained that results from the remaining three LGAs’ were yet to arrive due to long distance.
