Aregbesola removes APC logos from renovated campaign office

Everything associated with the All Progressives Congress (APC) has been taken out of former Osun State governor Rauf Aregbesola’s campaign headquarters.

The campaign office, situated along the Gbongan-Ibadan road in Osogbo, is housed inside the four-story Ayinke Towers building, which has been renamed Oranmiyan House.

Prior to The Osun Progressives’ dissolution in 2022, the high-rise skyscraper housed Aregbesola’s campaign office.

The white edifice, which previously sported the APC’s colors and had multiple poles with party and national flags adorning its exterior, has been given a whole new appearance.

This development is coming at a time the state is getting ready for the 2026 governor’s race.

The massive pictures of the former president, Muhammadu Buhari and Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, as well as former APC National Chairman Bisi Akande, have been taken from the edifice, along with the APC’s emblem and identification.

It was noticed that they had been replaced by equally big pictures of the late Chief Obafemi Awolowo and Bola Ige, as well as a picture of Rauf Aregbesola, the former interior minister, put in the center.

Additionally, the Omoluabi Progressive Caucus logo has now taken the place of the massive APC logo.

It was learnt that Aregbesola’s campaign office in his hometown of Ilesa underwent the same renovation.

Aregbesola and Tinubu fell out following the former’s outburst against the latter in January 2022 on the heels of the crisis that engulfed the APC in Osun State which pitched Aregbesola against the immediate ex-governor of the state, Gboyega Oyetola.

Aregbesola was also conspicuously absent from every APC rally held across the nation prior to the 2023 presidential election.
