The Federal Executive Council, (FEC), has approved the establishment of a tripartite committee to streamline visa processes and acquisition for investors interested in investing in Nigeria.

This announcement was made by the Information Minister, Mohammed Idris, on Tuesday after the conclusion of the FEC meeting held at the Council Chambers in the presidential villa.

The minister explained that this action would ensure the smoothness of the country’s visa acquisition processes, which are already cumbersome and not investment-friendly.

“Our visa processes are becoming cumbersome,” the minister said.

“The ease of doing business is also tied to our visa processes.

“Going forward, those investors, tourists would find it easy to acquire a visa within the next 48 hours.

The FEC was adjourned Monday for Tuesday to come to conclusion on far-reaching decisions that will tackle some of the challenges in the country.
