BREAKING: FG inaugurates 37-man tripartite committee on minimum wage

The Federal Government has inaugurated a 37-man Tripartite Committee on National Minimum Wage with a mandate to recommend a new National Minimum Wage for the Country.

Vice President Kashim Shettima presided over the inaugural ceremony at the council chambers at the presidential villa in Abuja.

Shettima inaugurating the committee, charged the members to consider the hardship caused by the removal of fuel subsidy to alleviate the suffering of the people.

WesternPost reported on Sunday that the Secretary to the Government of the Federation SGF, George Akume in a letter addressed to Ambali Olatunji, the Nigeria Labor Congress (NLC) that President Bola Tinubu approved the inauguration of the Tripartite Committee on National Minimum Wage.

The thirty seven member Committee is to be Chaired by Bukar Goni Aji, Former Head of Service of the Federation.
