BREAKING: Fire guts section of Alaba market
A section of the popular Alaba International market in Amuwo-Odofin Local Government Area of Lagos State has been gutted by fire.
It was gathered that dozens of shops were affected and traders lost goods and properties worth million of naira in the fire incident, which occurred on Friday morning .
The cause of the fire inferno was unknown as at the time of filing this report.
An eyewitness told WesternPost that no fire service and rescue agency came to the traders’ rescue since the fire started.
He said that the traders resorted to self-help in extinguishing the fire.
