BREAKING: Goods worth millions of Naira burnt as fire guts Orile Iganmu market

Goods worth millions of Naira got burnt as Orile Iganmu market gutted by fire at about 5am on Wednesday (Today).

It was gathered that the raging inferno razed the Sawmill section of the market where building materials were sold.

A source informed WesternPost that there had been concerted efforts by the Lagos Fire Service and Rescue crews from Sari Iganmu, Ajegunle, Ilupeju and Bolade Stations with compliment from the Federal Fire Service and LASEMA with security back up of the Nigerian Police Force to douse the inferno.

The fire was said to have rapidly spread because of the combustible materials involved that include inflammatory wood polish and given the dryness of the season.

The cause of the fire cannot be immediately ascertained as at the time of filing this report.

No casualty was recorded as at the time of filing this report.
