BREAKING: NLC plans nationwide protest over fuel subsidy removal, gives FG ultimatum

The Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) has rejected the removal of fuel subsidy by the Federal Government, giving it a five-day ultimatum to revert to old pump prices.

The decision was taken at the end of the emergency National Executive Council meeting held in Abuja on Friday.

NLC President, Joe Ajaero, while briefing journalists said they would commence nationwide strike next week Wednesday if the government fails to revert to the old fuel pump price.

“The NLC NEC directs all state councils and industrial unions to commence mobilisation from this moment,” he said.
