BREAKING: Okada riders protest seizure of motorcycles by Lagos taskforce
Commercial motorcycle riders, known as Okada riders, on Friday protested the seizure of their motorcycles by the Lagos State Task Force Team.
Eyewitness said that the task force team dislodged the Okada riders and seized their motorcycles in the Alakija area of the state.
The eyewitness explained that the motorcycles were seized and carried into the task force van, adding the action prompted the motorcycle operators to group themselves to confront the taskforce officials.
It was gathered that the Okada riders set bonfire on the road as the van carrying the motorcycles left the scene.
WesternPost reliably gathered that some policemen later arrived at the scene and opened teargas at the protesting Okada riders.
