BREAKING: Protesters besiege EFCC, want Matawalle’s corruption probe reopened

Protesters from Zamfara State have demanded that the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) look into the case of Bello Matawalle, the former governor of the state.

The demonstrators, operating under the banner of the APC Loyalists Forum, demanded that the EFCC look into every petition filed against the ex-governor, including claims of alleged contract diversion of up to N70 billion when he was the state’s governor.

The Director of Public Affairs at the EFCC, Wilson Uwujaren, who received the protest letter on behalf of the chairman, assured the demonstrators that the commission is committed to pursuing every corruption case to a rational conclusion.
