BREAKING: Security operatives barricade Bayero’s Nasarawa Palace as bulldozers move in

Security operatives on Friday morning blocked all entrances to the Nasarawa mini Palace, the current residence of the deposed 15th emir of Kano, Aminu Ado Bayero.

The action is believed to have been taken to stop miscreants from getting in the way of the Nasarawa Palace’s scheduled demolition.

An excavator and bulldozer were seen driving towards the palace in a video circulated online.

WESTERN POST reported that the Kano State Government ordered the deposed traditional ruler to vacate the mini palace.

Speaking to reporters on Thursday, Kano State’s Attorney General and Commissioner of Justice, Haruna Isah Dederi, stated that Bayero ought to be removed as everything is in place for the rehabilitation of the palace.

A Kano Federal High Court had on Thursday, nullified Emir Bayero’s removal by the State Government.

But the Kano State Government insists Emir Sanusi Muhammad II remains the emir of Kano.
