BREAKING: Tinubu names Abuja highway after Soyinka

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has named the Arterial Road N20 from Northern Parkway to Outer Northern Expressway (ONEX) as Professor Wole Soyinka Highway.

This was disclosed on Tuesday by the Special Adviser to the President on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga.

It was gathered that the Minister of the FCT, Nyesom Wike, recommended Prof. Soyinka.

The naming of the highway after Soyinka came at a time he will be celebrating his 90th birthday on July 13th.

Wole Soyinka is a celebrated playwright, novelist and poet who made history in 1986 by becoming the first sub-Saharan African to receive the Nobel Prize in Literature.

Tinubu further praised Soyinka for bringing honor and fame to Nigeria through his works and achievements.
