BREAKING: ‘Tinubu will be in office for eight years’ – Governor Umo Eno

Akwa Ibom State Governor, Pastor Umo Eno, has expressed confidence that President Bola Tinubu will complete two terms in office, totaling eight years.
This endorsement came during the flag-off ceremony of Sections 3 and 4 of the Lagos-Calabar Coastal Highway in Uyo, Akwa Ibom State, on Tuesday .
Governor Eno, elected under the opposition People’s Democratic Party (PDP), praised President Tinubu’s commitment to infrastructure development. He highlighted the Lagos-Calabar Coastal Highway as a transformative project that would significantly benefit Akwa Ibom and the broader South-South region.
The flag-off event marked the commencement of Sections 3 and 4 of the 700-kilometer highway, which will traverse nine coastal states from Lagos to Calabar.
In Akwa Ibom, the project encompasses a 107-kilometer stretch, including 27 kilometers in Section 3B and 80 kilometers in Section 4, passing through numerous communities such as Esuk Inwang, Ndom Ebom, and Ikot Akpabio .
Minister of Works, David Umahi, emphasized the project’s significance, stating that it would enhance connectivity, boost economic activities, and create employment opportunities across the coastal regions. He assured that the construction would adhere to high-quality standards and timelines.
Senate President Godswill Akpabio, also present at the ceremony, lauded the federal government’s initiative and urged local communities to support the project’s successful execution. He noted that the highway would open up previously inaccessible areas, fostering regional development.
President Tinubu, in a message delivered at the event, reiterated his administration’s commitment to completing the highway, describing it as a symbol of hope, unity, and prosperity for Nigeria. He acknowledged the sacrifices of affected communities and promised adequate compensation for those impacted by the construction .
