Demola Seriki, Nigeria’s ambassador to Spain dies at 63

Nigeria’s ambassador to Spain, Ademola Seriki is dead.

He reportedly died in Spain in the early hours of Thursday of pancreatic cancer, WesternPost learnt.

His death was announced in a notice signed by his children.

“It is with heavy hearts and profound gratitude to Almighty Allah that we announce the loss of our much-loved and admired patriarch, husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend, His Excellency, Ambassador Demola Seriki, on December 15, 2022.

“He passed away peacefully surrounded by his family in Madrid, Spain,” the notice said.

Born November 30, 1959, the late Seriki was appointed ambassador to Spain by President Muhammadu Buhari.

He first came to limelight when he was appointed the chairman of the Lagos State Sports Council by Governor Michael Otedola.

WEsternPost learnt that arrangements were being made to fly his body back home later today.
