Edo 2024: APC unveils Idahosa as running mate to Okpebholo

The National leadership of the All Progressives Congress (APC) today in Abuja unveiled the member representing Ovia Federal Constituency of Edo State in the House of Representatives, Dennis Idahosa, as the running mate to its governorship candidate in Edo for the September 21 election, Senator Monday Okpebholo.

The National Chairman, Dr Abdullahi Umar Ganduje, met with the APC governorship aspirants and other stakeholders in Edo State. During the meeting, Hon. Dennis Idahosa was presented as the Party’s deputy governorship candidate in the state.

Idahosa, a gubernatorial aspirant in the February 22, 2024 direct primary election, consented to become the party’s deputy gubernatorial candidate and has agreed to withdraw his lawsuit concerning the contentious shadow poll, following the intervention of prominent Nigerians.

Reliable sources revealed that President Bola Tinubu personally intervened in the Edo APC political tussle, and directed the Minister of Niger Delta Development, Abubakar Momoh, who hails from Edo North Senatorial District, to ensure that Idahosa’s name was submitted as the party’s deputy governorship candidate.
