Ex- BoT member, Oyedokun will return to PDP, says Gov. Adeleke

Osun State Governor, Ademola Adeleke has declared that the former member, Board of Trustees of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Alhaji Shuaib Oyedokun who recently decamped to the All Progressives Congress (APC) will return to the party.

Oyedokun, a former  National Deputy Chairman of PDP recently decamped to the APC, noting that the new party is a structure where he believes his experience, efforts, and leadership will be more valued and appreciated.

Adeleke, made this known on Thursday, while hosting the Inisa community in Odo-Otin local Government of the State led by their traditional ruler, Oba Joseph Oyedele, Fasikun 11 at the Government House, Oke-Fia, Osogbo.

The Governor, who called Oyedokun, father said he was surprised that the elderstatesman left the party despite the honour he accorded him.

He said, “I was with Baba Oyedokun in house and he gave me pass mark that I performed beyond the expectations of the people. He is our father we are expecting his coming back.

Adeleke stated that his Government has good intention for the State and would complete all uncompleted/ abandoned projects by the previous administration regardless of political affiliation.

He appreciated the monarch and his subjects, who came to show support for his Government, despite their son (Oyedokun) decamping to the opposition party.

Earlier, the Olunisa of Inisa, Oba Oyedele assured the Governor that the community the entire inisha is behind the him and would work for his victory come 2026 Governorship election.

The monarch said, “We are not here to destroy anybody. Oyedokun is our son but didn’t inform anybody before he left PDP. He is alone,  he took the step on his own. People of the town are not behind him. We represent the people of Inisa. Even his family compound are not aware of the steps he took.”
