EXCLUSIVE: Sanwo-Olu’s Deputy CoS, Soyannwo dies

The Deputy Chief of Staff to Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu, Mr Gboyega Soyannwo, has died.

Soyannwo died on Wednesday after a brief illness.

Sources informed WesternPost that Soyannwo had stroke at the weekend and was rushed to the hospital.

The Sources said that he could not survive the stroke despite quick medical attention.

” Mr Soyannwo died today (Wednesday). It is very painful we lost a very gentleman. A thoroughbred technocrat who knows his onions.

” He was rushed to the hospital at the weekend, thinking he will survive it”.

Soyannwo was born 3rd of October 1968.

Soyannwo was a well rounded professional with over thirty one (31) years’ experience in Banking, Financial Services, General Management and Strategy, effectively combines sound scholarly background with vast multi-sector experience making him a prime candidate for result driven performances across the private and  public sectors.

He was appointed Deputy Chief of Staff (DCOS) to the Lagos State Governor (2019 – 2023).

Sanwo-Olu re-appointed him on June 8, 2023.
