Expect rejuvenated PDP, Koshoedo urges members

Deputy National Secretary of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Setonji Koshoedo, has urged members to expect a new and reinvigorated party.
Koshoedo, in a statement on Friday to commemorate the Eid-al-Fitr, noted that it is not mere happenstance that Lent and the Ramadan seasons coincided this year.
It would be recalled that Christians, few days back, completed the 40 days prayer, which culminated in the Easter celebration.
According to him, members of the PDP should draw inspiration from the events of the foremost two religions for the rebirth of the party.
Koshoedo lamented that although, the Lagos chapter of the party has gone through enough ‘deaths’, it is set to resurrect into a new PDP.
“As we celebrate this significant Eid-al-Fitr, we must remember how broken we have been in PDP. Just as in fasting, let us guide our thoughts and prayers towards how we can all resurrect or rejuvenate our dear party, PDP, in Lagos and Nigeria as a whole.
“It is important for steadfast members to put all distractions and defections behind them and begin to focus on reforming the party so as to bring back to life a PDP that all will be proud to be a part of,” he said.
Koshoedo urged all PDP members across the country to be calm as the reforms that will lead to their dream party to provide succour for them is already in the making.
