Fake soldier arrested in Lagos

The Lagos Police Command has confirmed the arrest of one Silas Dickson, for alleg6ed posing as an officer of the Nigerian Army.

Spokesman for the Command, SP Benjamin Hundeyin! made this known in a terse post on his X handle on Wednesday.

According to Hundeyin, the fake soldier aged 25 was arrested by soldiers of the 243 Battalion of the Nigerian Army and handed over to the Police for prosecution.

He also tagged the handles of the Nigerian Army Headquarters, as well as the Lagos State police in the post shared with a slightly blurred picture of the suspect.

He wrote: “Fake soldier, Silas Dickson, aged 25 arrested by soldiers of 243 Battalion @HQNigerianArmy Badagry and handed over to @LagosPoliceNG for prosecution.”
