FCT Metro line: Abuja residents to enjoy free rides for two months, says Wike

The Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, has announced that the new Abuja metro line will be free for commuters for two months after it is commissioned next week.

Wike made this announcement on Thursday while speaking at the Day 2 of the Ministerial Sectoral Update for the presidential administration, which was held at the National Press Centre in Abuja.

During his speech, Wike highlighted some of the achievements in the FCT under the current administration of President Bola Tinubu, one year since assuming office.

The event is also being attended by other ministers including the Atiku Bagudu, minister of budget and planning, Idris Mohammed, information minister and others.

Also speaking, Wike disclosed that the newly commissioned operations of the metro Abuja line would be commissioned on May 27 by President Tinubu and be ready for operations for the public on Tuesday.
