Lagos gets Federal Government approval for Lekki Airport
The Federal Government has presented the letter of approval for the proposed Lekki International Airport to Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu.
Minister of Aviation Hadi Sirika presented the letter to Governor Sanwo-Olu at the ongoing ninth Ehingbeti Lagos Economic Summit at the Eko Hotel and Suites in Victoria Island.
According to Sirika, the new airport “will help to decongest the Murtala International Airport.”
WesternPost had earlier reported that the Lagos State Government has announced plans to construct a new airport in the Lekki axis of the state.
