Finally, Dariye, Nyame released from Kuje prison

Former governors of Plateau and Taraba states, Joshua Dariye and Jolly Nyame have finally gained their freedom after both men were released from the Kuje Correctional Centre on Monday.

Their release comes four months after they were granted state pardon.

The Council of State presided over by President Muhammadu Buhari granted the two ex-governors and 157 other convicts state pardon in April.

Both men were jailed after being found guilty for committing fraud.

They were however granted pardon on the grounds of age and ill health.
