Fire guts a section of Dangote Refinery

There was a fire outbreak at a section of Dangote Refinery located in Ibeju-Lekki, Lagos State, on Wednesday.

A trending video shows a cloud of thick smoke billowing into the sky from the facility.

The sound of an explosion can also be heard in the footage.

The cause of the fire is still unknown.

Anthony Chiejina, the Group Chief Branding & Communications Officer of Dangote Industries Limited, confirmed the fire incident.
