The Pastor of the First Baptist Church, Surulere Ilorin, Rev. Dr Yinka Ololade has offered special prayers for the peaceful reign of two prominent traditional rulers in Ogbomosoland, the Soun and Onpetu of Ijeruland, wishing their time be laced with growth and development for all and sundry in Ogbomosoland.

The cleric offered the prayers when he led the church’s executive council on a courtesy visit to the monarchs on Tuesday.

Receiving the church council members in his palace, the Soun of Ogbomosoland, His Imperial Majesty, Oba Ghandi Olaoye, appreciated the visitors and prayed for journey mercies back to their destination.

Ololade later presented copies of the bible to the monarchs which he said is worth more than silver and gold, urging them to use it in piloting the affairs of their domains.

The new Soun of Ogbomosoland marked 100 days on the throne of his forefathers a few days ago.

Similarly in his palace, the Onpetu of Ijeruland, His Royal Majesty, Oba Sunday Oyeniran commended the opportunity given to him to mount the pulpit of the church as a guest evangelist some months back.

He noted that he could see the love of God in the church which has brought about fruitfulness. Oba Oyeniran emphasized that God owns the church and he will never allow the gate of hell to prevail over it.

The evangelist monarch added that the Lord had planted the church as a good example and for evangelism in its location.

He appreciated the Bible’s Symbolic presentation, which he said is worth more than silver and gold.
