Facts have emerged that former President Olusegun Obasanjo and First Lady, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, did not meet at home last Sallah day Monday in Lagos, contrary to the impression in some quarters.

The impression had been created as the photograph of the two taken together was released by Busola Kukoyi, the Media Adviser to the First Lady.

According to impeccable sources, however, it has been revealed that the two leaders only met her by coincidence at Eko Hotel and Suites, Victoria Island, Lagos.

They met in company with an influential society lady, Mrs. Abba Folawiyo, who is known to be close to Senator Tinubu.

Western Post sources said the former president had met Mrs Folawiyo, mother of Mr Segun Awolowo, at an event at Eko Hotel that Sallah Day and the First Lady had an event too on that day at the same hotel.

Mrs Folawiyo who is a long-time friend of the former president then told Obasanjo that the First Lady was around.

Former president Obasanjo as a mark of respect to the First Lady in her position then moved to honour the First Lady by seeing her at the venue in company with Mrs. Folawiyo.

According to sources, the duo both talked about the situation in the country, following which the former president sent a message to President Bola Tinubu through the First Lady.

Former president Obasanjo and President Tinubu cannot be said to enjoy a good relationship. At best, they have been having a cat-and-mouse relationship for some time now.
