Friendlies: Finidi George to lead Super Eagles against Ghana, Mali

The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) has officially announced that Finidi George will lead the national team, the Super Eagles, during their upcoming friendly matches against Ghana and Mali in this international break.

This decision comes after the team has been without a coach since Jose Peseiro’s contract expired on February 29.

Initially, the NFF called for applications for the vacant position, but now, Finidi George will take charge temporarily, as confirmed in a post on the Eagles’ verified X handle.

Alongside an image of Finidi meeting with team officials, was a caption that read: “Coach George Finidi has held a meeting with Super Eagles team officials as he leads the Super Eagles in international friendlies against Ghana and Mali #SoarSuperEagles.”
