Ganduje’s son, Abba, loses House of Representatives’ seats

New Nigeria People’s Party (NNPP),  Abdulkadir Tijjani Jobe, has won the House of Representatives for Tofa, Dawakin-Tofa and Rimingado Federal Constituency in Kano State.

Jobe, who is the incumbent Reps member from the constituency, defeated the son of the state governor, Abba Ganduje.

The Returning Officer, Prof. Saminu Yahaya, while announcing the result, said Jobe recorded 52,457 votes to beat Abba Ganduje of the All Progressives Congress (APC), who scored 44,809 votes.

Jobe who is returning to the Green Chambers for the fifth time was formerly with the APC before defecting to NNPP after Governor Ganduje allegedly gave the party’s ticket to his son.
