Gov. Adeleke congratulates new NACA DG, Ilori

Osun State Governor, Ademola Adeleke has congratulated the newly appointed Director–General of the National Agency for the Control of AIDS (NACA), Dr. Temitope Ilori.

Adeleke, described Ilori as a brilliant and hardworking medical practitioner, saying her appointment is deserving and a recognition of competence given her background and experience.

The Governor, in a statement by his spokesperson, Mallam Olawale Rasheed, stressed that Ilori’s capacity to achieve the mandate of NACA by significantly reducing the impact of HIV/AIDS/STDS on the health of Nigerians, noting that her exploits as the Commissioner for Health in Osun state between 2011 and 2014 is assuring that she will excel in the new role.

He said, “I’m most delighted to learn of the appointment of Dr. Temitope Ilori as the Director–General of the National Agency for the Control AIDS (NACA). Dr. Ilori has overtime proven capacity for service and it’s heartwarming to see that President Tinubu has tapped on her for this new important role,” the Governor was quoted to have said in a congratulatory message.

Adeleke, who appreciated President Tinubu for giving usyet another Osun indigene the opportunity to contribute to nation building, urged the newly appointed Director–General, to use the appointment to positively spotlight the state by ensuring achievement of NACA mandate.

While congratulating a former governor in the state, Chief Kareem Adebisi Akande, for the honour that Dr. Ilori’s appointment represents, Adeleke wishes the “NACA DG a successful four years tenure and hope her appointment brings much glory to the state.”
