Osun State Governor, Ademola Adeleke, has called on entrepreneurs to remain resilient and innovative despite the current economic challenges.

The governor made this appeal on Friday in Ibadan while commissioning a major gas plant and the Dangote Refinery Booking office.

In a statement by his spokesperson, Mallam Olawale Rasheed, Governor Adeleke emphasized the importance of persistence and adaptation for business success in turbulent times.

“Opportunities exist during economic turbulence for business people who can innovate and adjust their operational models,” Adeleke stated.

He highlighted the event as an example of how businesses can thrive by aligning with the economic climate.

“We know the environment is harsh, but we must adapt. You cannot afford to give up. Let’s refocus our businesses by exploring new opportunities, cutting costs, and putting God at the center of our operations,” he said.

The governor commended the CEO of the Dangote Refinery Booking Office, Mrs. Motunrayo Ajeigbe Akinlosotu, for her resilience and determination in realizing her dream.

He expressed his delight in seeing Nigerian entrepreneurs, like Akinlosotu, contribute positively to the nation’s economy at a time when many are seeking opportunities abroad.

Adeleke urged young entrepreneurs to pursue their dreams despite the odds, reinforcing his message of innovation and persistence.

Mrs. Akinlosotu, the Managing Director of the newly commissioned office, described the venture as the fulfillment of a decade-long dream.

She assured clients of the office’s capacity to handle transactions worth over a billion naira, emphasizing the company’s commitment to integrity and professionalism.

“We are open for business with a promise to serve our clients with integrity and professionalism,” Akinlosotu said.

Governor Adeleke was accompanied at the event by the Commissioner for Science and Innovations, Hon Maruf Ayofe; the South West Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Hon Kamarudeen Ajisafe; and other top government officials.
