Groups pledge support for Atiku’s presidential bid

Some political and non-political groups in Kwara State, under the aegis of ‘Friends of Atiku’ have pledged their support and votes for the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) presidential candidate, Atiku Abubarka.

The groups promised to canvas votes for Atiku and other contestants in the party to record huge success at the poll.

Co-ordinator of the groups in the state, Mr. Segun Olawoyin, pledged their support at an interactive session organised in honour of Alhaji Atiku in Ilorin on Wednesday.

Olawoyin, who is a former chairman of Offa Local Government, urged youths in the country to contribute their quota towards ensuring peace and the development of the nation.

He urged them to shun acts that are capable of truncating the peaceful co-existence in the country.

Olawoyin advised them to participate actively in the process of electing leaders to enable them have input on issues that affect them.

He urged the people of the state to close ranks and support a visionary leader who will move the country forward.

Also speaking, former Minister of Transport, Isa Bio-Ibrahim, represented by Alhaji Sule Sabi urged Nigerians to speak with one voice and ensure a united and peaceful country.
