Hardship: Lawmaker distributes N10m to 1000 constituents

The legislator representing Ajeromi/Ifelodun Constituency 1 in the Lagos State House of Assembly, Hon. Lukmon Olumoh, has distributed N10million to 1000 vulnerables.

He also distributed food packs to over 1000 residents to break their Ramadan fasting.

Olumoh, who is the Chairman House Committee on Budget and Appropriation, said the cash relief was to empower the vulnerables and ameliorate poverty in the constituency.

Speaking with journalists at the 33rd Ramadan Public Lecture and Cash Relief Empowerment in Ajegunle, Lagos, Olumoh explained that the beneficiaries were carefully chosen to ensure they were really the vulnerables in the society.

The lawmaker commended President Bola Tinubu for deeming it fit to extent ‘free food package’ to Ajeromi/Ifelodun through the Office of the Senior Special Assistant on Community Affairs (South West).

He added that the Ramadan lecture had been existing for years, adding that it was a platform give back to the society and help the vulnerables.

Olumoh urged Nigerians to be patient with President Tinubu, saying that the President meant well for the country with his policy decisions.
Meanwhile, the Senior Special Assistant to President Tinubu on Community Affairs ( South West), Moremi Ojudu, said the President is empathetic and so find it neccessary to send 4000 food packs to Ajeromi/Ifelodun.

Ojudu assured Nigerians that President Tinubu would always consider the interest of the poor in policy making, urging the people to continue to support the Tinubu administration.

The Ramadan public lecture was attended by political leaders, community leaders, youths, market men and women, and people with disabilities.
