VIDEOS! Heavy Rainfall: Commuters face difficulties as flood takes over Lagos roads

Commuters on Wednesday find it hard to move to their destinations as flood took over Lagos roads following heavy rainfall. 

The heavy rainfall which started at midnight around 3am, caused motorists to spend hours from one destination to another. 

Many who defied the rain and left their homes with the hope of getting to their places of work were seen stranded at different bus-stops while trying to commute in the city.

Commuters were seen stranded at Berger Bus-stop.

Motorists have to spend hours on the road coming through Alapere to Third Mainland Bridge.

Also heavily-flooded was the Iyana-Oworo-Alopomeji area heading to the Third Mainland Bridge, causing long traffic that extended to Alapere.

In viral videos on the social media, buses and private cars were sighted  in serious flood at Ketu-Alapere axis, Oshodi-Mafoluku axis, Aboru road in Iyana ipaja axis and Iyana Iba area of Lagos.

Other axis affected by the heavy rainfall were, Isheri/Idimu-Lasu road, Ijegun-Abaranje road, Egbeda-Akowonjo road, Jakande estate in Isolo-Ejigbo, Okokomaiko- Ijanikin axis, Egan-Igando axis and Egbeda-Idimu road.
