Heavy traffic as container falls off Ago roundabout road

Heavy traffic as a container laden truck had its container fell off the road at Ago roundabout in Okota axis of Isolo local council in Lagos, on Thursday.

The container blocked the roads linking Ejigbo, Isolo and Cele-Express, causing heavy traffic.

According to an eyewitness, the accident happened when the truck driver was making effort to avoid the potholes at the roundabout.

He added that the potholes have been on the road for months without atttention from the state government and its prevalent agencies.

” Those bad spots have been there for months and no one cares. Instead of fixing it, they were using it to arrest vehicles that avoided it. I hope they will learn from this. Thank God no lives were lost”, said the eyewitness.

As at the time of filing this report, no casualty was recorded.

Meanwhile, the Lagos State Traffic Management Authority (LASTMA), on its X handle, said that its operatives were on ground to evacuate the truck and container, advising motorists to use alternative routes.
