Husband escaped as kidnappers abduct couple in Osun

A couple was on Monday kidnapped along the Ode Omu/Gbongan Road in Osun State.

It was gathered that the incident happened around 5am at Oogi Ojudo in Ayedade Local Government Area of the state.

The husband and wife, said to be coming from Lagos, where they had gone to buy some goods, were heading to Osogbo, when they were waylaid and marched into the bush.

It was gathered that the husband, later escaped from the kidnappers’ den while the wife still remains in captivity.

Spokesperson for the state police command, Yemisi Opalola, who confirmed the incident, said operatives are on the trail of the suspects.

Opalola added that search and rescue operation has commenced.
