Imo LP governorship candidate Achonu confident of victory

The Labour Party (LP) governorship candidate in Imo, Athan Achonu, has expressed confidence that he will emerge victorious in the state’s gubernatorial election.

He said the people of Imo are eager for a change and have embraced the LP as the answer to their challenges.

He made this remark after voting at Numo Primary School, Umuchoke Umunomu, booth 008, in Ehime-Mbano LGA of the state.

He praised the voters for their massive turnout and their support for him and his party.

“The election is going on smoothly so far. I have exercised my franchise and I can see that the voters are peaceful and not influenced by money. They are determined to get what they deserve,” Achonu said.

“The reality is that Imo people are fed up with poor governance. They are suffering from hunger due to the APC mismanagement.

“And today, they have come out in large numbers to make their voices heard. They have unanimously opted for the Labour Party as the best option to address the Imo issues.”
