Kwankwaso vows to dump PDP before March ending

Former Kano State Governor, Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso has vowed to dump the People’s Democratic Party, PDP, before the end of this month (March).

Kwankwaso said this in an interview he granted BBC.

The former senator who is set to join the New Nigeria People’s Party, said both the PDP and the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) don’t have what to convince Nigerians to follow them in 2023.

He also said he was ready to rescue Kano back from the hands of the incumbent government of Abdullahi Ganduje who was his deputy while in office.

“I didn’t see anything that either APC or PDP will show or tell Nigerians to get convinced and vote for them in the coming 2023 elections,” Kwankwaso said.

“So I think people should now come to think of the right party and people to support and vote for so that we can rescue the present situation.

“In 2015, we gave the leadership of the state to some, thinking that they will make it, but not knowing that it won’t yield any positive outcome. That is why we are back to rescue our state.”
