Kwara: 2024 first hajj flight takes off Tuesday

By Mosunmola Ayobami, Ilorin

The Kwara State 2024 first hajj flight would take off on Tuesday from the General Tunde Idiagbon International Airport Ilorin.

A statement issued by the State’s Muslim Pilgrims Board, said that the change in the date was from NAHCON/airlines due to some delays in the initial plans.

It would be recalled that the pilgrims from Kwara had initially been scheduled to have their first flight on Monday May 20, 2024.

“What this change means is that our pilgrims should not come to the camp today again as earlier announced. They should come tomorrow, Monday 20, ahead of their inaugural flight on Tuesday at 10:20am. This affects only the intending pilgrims whose names were earlier scheduled for the inaugural flight.

“Further information will be released to guide all our pilgrims and the general public. While this slight change is regretted, it is totally out of the control of the state pilgrims board or any local authorities”, the statement read.
