Kwara Assembly confirms 18 commissioner nominees
The Kwara State House of Assembly has confirmed the 18 commissioner nominees forwarded by Governor Abdulrasaq Abdulrahman.
It would be recallled that the screening of the nominees lasted three legislative days.
The confirmed commissioner nominees are; Abdulganiy Abdulazeez Kola – Asa LGA, Aliyu Kora Sabi – Baruten LGA, Shehu Ndanusa Usman- Edu LGA, Afolashade Opeyemi Kemi- Ekiti, Dr Segun Ogunshola – Ifelodun, Abdulquawiy Olododo- Ilorin East and Saadatu Modibbo Kawu- Ilorin South.
Others are; Senior Ibrahim Suleiman IlorinWest, Hauwa Nuru- Ilorin West, Damilola Yusuf Isin LGA, Oloruntoyosi Thomas- Isin, Bola Olukoju Irepodun, Hon. Abubakar Abdullahi Bata – Kaiama, Bello John Olarewaju – Moro, and Dr Amina El-Imam – Offa.
Dr. Mary Arinde – Oke-Ero, Olaitan Buraimoh – Oyun, Usman Yunusa Patigi LGA, and Mrs Jemilat Adamu Bake, Commissioner II Civil Service Commission were also confirmed by the house of assembly.
The Speaker of the House, Rt. (Hon) Yakubu Danladi Salihu, directed the Clerk to communicate the confirmation to the governor.
