Kwara govt dissolves LG Caretaker Committees

Kwara State Government has dissolved the Transition Implementation Committees (TICs) in the sixteen local governments.

The State Government also directed Directors of Personnel Management (DPM) to take charge of the administration of the 16 local governments until the conduct of council election in September.

Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Local Government, Chieftaincy Affairs and Community Development, Mrs Modupe Iyabo Adekeye made this known in a statement issued on Friday in Ilorin.

WESTERN POST reports that the dissolution comes few days after the Kwara State Independent Electoral Commission (KWSIEC) slated the next local council election for September 21, 2024.
