Residents of Lagos State, under a human rights group identified as “Take It Back Movement” on Monday hit the streets to protest against the soaring price of food and the high cost of living and unbearable economic hardship in the country.

The protesters were seen carrying placards with various inscriptions which expressed their grievances, at the Ojuelegba under bridge area of the state.

This is coming hours to the planned mass protest scheduled for February 27 and 28 by the Nigerian Labour Congress, NLC.

Reports have suggested that the ongoing protest was facilitated by the human rights group identified as the ‘Take It Back Movement’.
