Lagos warns job seekers to disregard fake recruitment sites

The Lagos State Government has called on job seekers to disregard the fake online application scheme requesting applicants with qualifications in specific subjects, such as (CRS, History, Yoruba and Agriculture) to submit application forms to the State Teaching Commission’s Headquarters on Thursday, 4th October.
According to a statement issued by the Permanent Secretary, Lagos State Teaching Service Commission (TESCOM), Mrs. Olubusola Abidakun, the recruitment application is misleading and purposely initiated to defraud innocent job seekers.
Abidakin stated that the state government does not engage in clandestine recruitment, as employment in the Public Service is based on merit.
She said, “The Commission hereby state unequivocally that the purported directive is fake, fraudulent and does not emanate from the Commission. The general public is hereby warned to be wary of such baseless information”.
The Permanent Secretary explained that the Commission does not engage external parties for her employment process as recruitment into the State’s Teaching Service strictly takes place through the Employment Portal of the Commission.
While advising job seekers to be cautious of imposters parading themselves as officials of the state teaching service commission, she revealed that announcement of job openings in the commission will only be made available on the official social media pages of the State Government with a directive on the application process.
