LASG warns residents not to patronize cart pushers, says ‘It’s illegal’

The Lagos state government on Tuesday warned the residents not to patronize cart pushers, saying it is illegal and violation of environmental law.

The government gave the warning through the Lagos State Waste Management Authority (LAWMA).

LAWMA on his verified X handle posted “Engaging in illegal collection of waste is a violation of the environmental law, and those who patronize such activities are equally culpable.

“Our vigilant Monitoring and Compliance team are diligently active in the neighborhood, ensuring the enforcement of waste laws.

“Please refrain from patronizing cart pushers. Instead, embrace proper waste disposal by choosing authorized PSPs “.
