LAUTECH undergraduate student stabbed to death in Ogbomoso

A 200-level student of the Department of Information Science at Ladoke Akintola University of Technology (LAUTECH), Ogbomoso, Basit Olamilekan, met a tragic end as he was reportedly stabbed to death by unidentified individuals on Thursday night in the Under G area of Ogbomoso.

The incident, reportedly stemming from a minor disagreement between Olamilekan and some of his peers, resulted in a fatal confrontation.

According to sources, despite being rushed to a nearby hospital, the efforts to save his life were in vain, and he was pronounced dead upon arrival.

Olamilekan, known for his entrepreneurship endeavors, ran a business called DCrown Unisex Salon in the Under-G students’ area of the town, adding a layer of complexity to the tragedy.

Attempts by journalists to confirm the incident with the Police Public Relations Officer, Adewale Osifeso, were unsuccessful at the time of reporting.
