The management of Leadership Newspaper has commended the First Lady of Nigeria, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, for her continued efforts to support vulnerable groups across the country.
Leading a delegation to the State House in Abuja, the Chairman of Leadership, Mrs. Zainab Nda-Isaiah, praised the First Lady’s humanitarian interventions, describing her as the “Mother of the Nation.” She noted that Senator Tinubu’s commitment to uplifting the less privileged deserves recognition and broader support.
During the courtesy visit, the Vice Chairman of Leadership, Mr. Mike Okpere, briefed the First Lady on the media organization’s ongoing charity efforts and proposed a strategic collaboration with her pet project, the Renewed Hope Initiative (RHI).
According to Okpere, the proposed partnership aims to empower 1,000 individuals, each of whom would, in turn, mentor and uplift four others—ultimately targeting a total reach of two million Nigerians.

He explained that the empowerment drive would focus on equipping beneficiaries with practical skills in areas such as tie-dye, fishing, tailoring, and other trades, helping them achieve financial independence and contribute productively to the economy.
In response, Senator Tinubu expressed appreciation for Leadership Newspaper’s longstanding support and welcomed the proposed collaboration. She emphasized that supporting Nigerians should not be the government’s responsibility alone but requires the collective effort of individuals and organizations across society.
The First Lady reaffirmed her commitment to initiatives that promote empowerment and sustainable development, noting that the Renewed Hope Initiative remains open to partnerships that share its vision for a more inclusive and prosperous Nigeria.
