Many trapped as four-storey building collapses in Abuja

Many people were reportedly trapped as four-storey building attached to Westbrook hotelin the Garki area of the Federal Capital Territory collapsed on Monday night.

It was gathered that emergency agency swiftly responded to the incident as two people were pulled out from the rubble and taken to the hospital while the rescue operations went on.

The hotel was said to be owned by a former Southeast governor.

An eyewitness told newsmen that “There is a possibility that there could be some people inside the collapsed building who may have died”.

” I saw two people being pulled out from the rubble and taken to the hospital while rescue operations were ongoing.

The emergency responders came swiftly but are not coordinated yet for efficient operations,” he said.
