NASDAQ invites Tinubu to bell close of trading session on September 20

President Bola Tinubu has been invited by the US Chamber of Commerce to ring the NASDAQ closing bell on September 20.

The NASDAQ (National Association of Securities Dealers Automated Quotations) is a stock exchange. However, unlike other stock exchanges like the NYSE (New York Stock Exchange), there are no physical trading floors.

The ringing of the closing bell signifies the end of a trading session on a particular day.

The bell-ringing event with President Tinubu will take place in conjunction with the 78th session of the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA), according to a statement released by the US Chamber of Commerce on Monday.

The celebration “symbolises the significance of the economic ties between the United States and Nigeria,” according to the organisation.

President Tinubu is also expected to address the 78th Session of the high-level General Debate of the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) slated for September 19.
