No extension for 2024 SSCE registration deadline- NECO

The National Examinations Council (NECO) has confirmed that it has not extended the registration deadline for its 2024 Senior School Certificate Examination (SSCE) Internal Registration.

Azeez Sani, acting Director of the Directorate of Information and Digital Communication at NECO, made this clear in a statement released on Wednesday.

According to Sani, the registration period, which began on Monday, December 18, 2023, will conclude on Monday, June 3, 2024.

Sani also detailed that late registration, which incurs an additional fee, will be available from Tuesday, June 4, 2024, to Monday, June 10, 2024.

“The Council urges candidates, school principals, commandants, state ministries of education, and other stakeholders to ignore social media posts claiming that the registration period has been extended to Monday, June 20, 2024,” Sani emphasized.

The statement also announced that the 2024 SSCE Internal examination will begin on June 19, 2024, and end on July 26, 2024. Candidates will be assessed in 76 subjects during this period.
