Nollywood colleagues mourn Actress Gbemi Anjola
Colleagues of Nollywood actress, Akingbemisola Dorcas Anjola have expressed sadness over her untimely death.
The 33-year-old actress who is known more among thespians in the Yoruba sector of the Nigerian movie industry is said to have battled ovarian cancer before her passing on Friday.
The tragic news was shared by the late actress’ colleague, Itele, who mourned her passing on his Instagram page.
He wrote, “Allahu Akbar, RIP Gbemi. O ma se o. Vanity upon vanity #inalillahiwainalillahirojiun”
Odunlade Adekola, a popular actor in the industry, who shared a picture of a candle on his Instagram page wrote “R.I.P Gbemi.” to express his grief.
Movie maker, Kunle Afod in his condolence message wrote, “May she rest in the bosom of the Lord.”
Reacting to the news, controversial actress, Nkechi Blessing wrote, “Toh this one weak me.”
Gbemi before her death on Friday was reported to have complained of headache and memory loss after which she was taken to hospital where she eventually passed on.
